They make curves look swell. They complement the Navratri dress code, making it more stylish, funky and gorgeous. Tatoos have almost replaced heavy and antic jewellery this year, as new look tattoos made with newer techniques using diamonds and rhodium lends an ornamental sparkle to bare backs in cholis.
Minal Patel, a home maker, who recently got a tattoo done on her back which stretches right from her upper shoulder till lower back, said, “I love shine and glitter. Till last year I had never tried a tattoo as I found it too flat. However, this year, the new 3-D design and the ornamental look of the tattoo made me get one. I am so excited to flaunt the new look.”
Patel is not an exception. The new semi-permanent and waterproof tattoos that last for about 15 to 30 days have attracted attention of many in town. The 3-D jewellery tattoos have two layers; the first one is created with the use of tattoo ink colour which penetrates till the second layer of the skin and the upper layer which is created using art material. This 3-D layer can be changed to complement the colour and work of the chaniya choli.
Garba enthusiasts, who do not want to don heavy dresses and old and antic jewellery are attracted to the new semi-permanent tattoos having radium, diamond, pearl, gold and bronze effects.
