Hiral Brahmbhatt, city-based professor of English lends her voice for playback singing in upcoming mainstream Bollywood movie Rangrezz
Upcoming Hindi film Rangrezz has an English connection with Amdavad. City-based singer Hiral Brahmbhatt, professor of English at Sahjanand Arts and Commerce College, has lent her voice for playback singing in upcoming mainstream Bollywood movie Rangrezz. And she is featured against top most Bollywood playback singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
The film Rangrezz releasing on March 21 is directed by Priyadarshan starring Jackky Bhagnani, Priya Anand, Rajpal Yadav and Amitosh Nagpal in the lead roles. Rangrezz is a Hindi remake of Tamil hit film Naadodigal, which has already been made in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Three main songs are of the film are composed by Sajid-Wajid. South Indian composer, Sundar C Babu (who composed for the original Tamil film) makes his debut in Hindi with other two songs.
Hiral, a freelance playback singer who has been singing for Gujarati films since last decade and more, said, “I have recently begun exploring opportunities from Hindi film play back singing field. My other projects of playback singing for Hindi films have either been put on back burner or are still in pipeline. This is the first project that worked out well in time and hence this becomes my first big break. I am happy that my song is synchronised as a duet with Rahatji. I respect him as one of the top most artists in the industry.”
Hiral has given a voice to a 4:41-minute lyric written by Sameer Anjaan – Dil Ko Aaya Sukoon. Hiral currently pursuing her decorate in Women’s Writings at Gujarat University, has been a professional singer since past two decades. She received her professional training under Hidustani classical vocalist Viraj-Amar. She has received training for light vocals from singer duo Shyamal-Saumil Munshi and vocalist Aniket Khandekar. She also learns Western vocals from fr. Vincent D’souza and is perusing a course on western vocals by Rock School Trinity College, London. Hiral’s mother is a professional singer and father was a professor. And she feels happy to have been able to have inherited talents to perform in both these fields. “This is a good beginning. This opportunity has beckoned more exciting and challenging playback singing assignments from Bollywood towards my way,” she said.
