Gujarat gets 50 % more rain than normal

Majithia Rains have played havoc across Gujarat as the state has already got more than 80 per cent of its total seasonal rainfall, which it usually gets by September 15. This year the state has received 50 % more rains than it normally gets till August 4.

Monsoon catches up, gives Guj 70% rain of season

Heavy showers across Gujarat have put 33 dams in the state on high alert. Of these, 30 are from Saurashtra region, two from Kutch, and one from South Gujarat. The water level in the Sardar Sarovar dam on Narmada at Kebadia has reached 116.31 metres with about 4,390.95 million cubic metres of water.
